Airlines Got $50 Billion
& U.S. Flyers Got
SCREWED!!!
| U.S. airlines received over $50 billion in Federal COVID-19 relief funds, far more than any other industry. How are U.S. airlines THANKING U.S. flyers and taxpayers as travel returns to normalcy? Raising fares and OVERVALUING EMPTY SEATS while SLASHING BIZ FARES for flyers originating in Europe. Airlines are once again DUMPING EMPTY BUSINESS SEATS in Europe at BIG DISCOUNTS while they simultaneously price gouge U.S. flyers. |

It's Manipulation, NOT Yield Management!
Airlines claim price discrepancies happen in response to supply and demand mismatches, a process known as yield management. But don’t be fooled, what’s happening now has nothing to do with demand imbalance and everything to do with old fashioned price gouging.
Take the following example, comparing New York-Paris business fares with Paris-New York. Same city pair, same dates, same cabin but with very different prices.

Not Only Deceptive, Its UNPATRIOTIC!
Are business seats between New York & Paris REALLY 470% more valuable compared with the same seat originated in Paris? NOOOOO! Airlines like American spin this phenomenon a thousand different ways, but the explanation is simple. They deceive U.S. flyers into overpaying while simultaneously DUMPING EMPTY seats in Europe at HUGE discounts. U.S. airlines prefer holding out for a few price-insensitive travelers rather than offering balanced pricing for everyone. Ironically, Europe originated fares are NEVER 470% HIGHER compared with U.S. origins. When your name is American Airlines, attempting to charge U.S. flyers 470% is not only deceptive, it’s UNPATRIOTIC!
Fewer than 10% of business seats are sold at excessive fares (i.e. $7,792 above) while over 50% are sold using money or miles using promotional pricing (i.e. $2,500 or less).

| Taxes from Europe are CHEAPER TOO!
Check out the screen shot below. Carrier imposed fees and fuel charges on business class travel originated in the U.S. are $1,600 round-trip, but just $342.80 round trip from Europe? YESSSS and OUCH! Just another example of U.S. airlines slapping U.S. flyers in the face.
