| More Countries Reopen their Borders
|
As of February 10th, 2022 more countries have announced plans to reopen their borders to foreign travelers or relax border restrictions. Some notable countries include Australia, New Zealand, Bali & the Philippines.
Australia is scheduled to reopen its borders on February 21st, 2022 despite being slapped with a LEVEL 4 “DO NOT TRAVEL” warning by the CDC just a month earlier. New Zealand announced that beginning in July foreign travelers would once again be permitted entry to vaccinated travelers, though they will still be required to self-isolate for 10 days. The Philippines also announced plans to reopen to vaccinated travelers who test negative via PCR test. The Philippines will also suspend its state run quarantines with a requirement to self-isolate for 7 days.
Despite rising COVID infections, both Bali and Indonesia have already reopened to foreign travelers.
Relaxed Testing Requirements in Select European Countries
France, Greece, Portugal, Sweden & Norway announced plans to drop incoming PCR test requirements for vaccinated travelers, but some easements only apply to EU residents.
